Her Radiance Rising Fest is a full-day women’s festival created for women who want to step away from the busyness of life and reconnect with themselves in an uplifting, welcoming environment. This is a women-focused gathering designed to support the whole woman, body, mind, and heart, through experiences that feel grounding, energizing, and meaningful.

Throughout the day, you’ll have access to a variety of workshop-style sessions and experiences designed to help you reconnect, reset, and feel renewed. Expect a blend of mindful movement, guided meditation and breathwork, sound healing, kirtan and other sessions created to support self-care in a way that feels real and approachable.

Beyond the sessions, the festival experience includes opportunities to explore a curated vendor space featuring offerings that support women’s health and well-being, connect with like-minded women in community, and enjoy nourishing food options available on-site to help you stay present and supported throughout the day.

Join us for a special Kirtan in memory of Bhaja Jaya on the eve of the anniversary of his soul's elevation.
Since 2020, Bhajarangi Jaya served the community of Orlando through a steadfast commitment to caring and loving for all people. He operated under a guiding principle: that there are no throwaway people. He absolutely adored the most ignored and offered love to the most unlovable. As a result, he was moved to found The Urban Ashram of Orlando, which focused its proceeds on serving meals to the homeless residents in the community.
Christopher Bhaja Boyden loved kirtan and was always supportive of all the local and touring kirtan wallahs who came through Orlando. Please join us on January 9th as we celebrate Bhaja's life through the devotional practice of kirtan.

Led by talented musicians and kirtan leaders, Dana Kaplan, Mirabai Moon, and Jordan Loder, this concert invites you to sing, clap, sway, or simply listen as waves of sound carry you into a meditative, blissful state. No prior experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to share in the collective energy.

Holiday Heart Opener: Movement Flow & Kirtan
Alex will start us off with a short YogaFlow to prepare the body for sitting/chanting/dancing while I do sound check and warm up on the ole' harmonium. Move to the flow on your mat, or just enjoy the background music.
We will set our intentions over cacao-infused golden milk, further opening the heart. Then we'll begin chanting around 4:30. (Bring something comfy to sit on for kirtan.)

Kirtan is about community. Please don't lack of funds keep you from attending. Scholarships are available, or you can make an offering that feels right for you at the door.

Kirtan is a practice of Bhakti yoga, the yogic path of devotion.   We chant sacred mantras and divine names in repetition, often in a call-and-response format, set to music. The leader (or “wallah”) chants a line, and then the group responds with the same line. A back-and-forth rhythm is created that’s easy to follow. We repeat the mantras again and again, so even if you’re new to mantra chanting, it’s easy to join in. The mantras are usually in Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga that carries powerful energetic vibrations. Like all other paths of yoga, this practice removes the veils of all that we are not, so we can perceive the true Self…which is LOVE…Divine, Universal Love!

Kirtan is for everyone. You do not have to be a “good singer” to sing kirtan. This is the yoga of Emotion (energy in motion). So it is not about how you sound. It is about how you feel.  You’re encouraged to sing from your heart! When we raise our voices together, we feel present, connected, unified and full of love.

Bring something comfortable to sit on, your water bottle, and a few beloveds. The more powerfully we raise our voices together, the bigger the healing vibration we create to benefit all beings everywhere!

Laughter Yoga (LY) is a unique & gentle form of exercise in which we combine breathing techniques from yoga with laughter exercises. This brings extra oxygen into the body, creates feel good hormones called endorphins, thereby creating a joy cocktail that makes us feel more energetic & healthier! Laughter Yoga connects us to our innate, playful nature. When we allow ourselves to be playful, laughter flows like a fountain! It can be practiced standing or sitting in a chair by EVERYbody, regardless of age or fitness level. If you can breathe, you can do Laughter Yoga!  LY has been scientifically proven to: release stress; boost the immune system; exercise your heart & lungs; elevate mood; improve circulation; reduce symptoms of arthritis, asthma, allergies & pain; and foster feelings of kindness, joy, forgiveness & love. Truly the best medicine, Laughter Yoga helps us develop and maintain a positive mental attitude no matter what!

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, The Urban Ashram puts together meals and goes out into the community to nourish the unhoused of Orlando with food, other donated items, love & dignity. In December, we collect warm items to distribute on Christmas day. The season kicks off with a Kirtan Fundraiser. Please bring new or gently used & clean: blankets, socks, hats, etc. If you’d prefer to make a monetary donation, it will be used to purchase warm items. Dana will be leading this kirtan benefit for the the 4th year in a row. We are so grateful to this loving and generous community.
